Welcome

Q:What types of research studies are conducted by the CAPRICORN Network?
A: Please see the CAPRICORN Studies page for information on recent Network research activities.

Q:How much time do I need to devote to research on a weekly basis?
A: The amount of time spent per week by practitioners depends entirely on the practitioner’s interest in the study. Practitioners can devote as many or as few hours as they wish. We believe the average practitioner spends 4 – 6 hours/year on CAPRICORN projects.

Q:I work for a practitioner who is not interested in research, but I am. Can I still be involved in CAPRICORN?
A: Yes! We welcome physician assistants and nurse practitioners to become members of CAPRICORN. Lay community members are also invited to join the Community Advisory Board.

Q:How many studies will I need to commit to per year?
A:The number of studies your site may be eligible for is dependent on whether your patients meet the participation criteria for the study. There is not minimum commitment for practitioners. We will approach you about participating in any study for which your patients are eligible participants; however we understand that your time is valuable and you should feel no pressure to commit to a set number of studies each year.

Q:Who can I contact with questions about the CAPRICORN Network?
A: Please don’t hesitate to contact Haewon Park, the Network Coordinator, with any questions or comments about CAPRICORN.
